Which years were BMW M57 engines made?

BMW built the M57 engines we list from about 2000 to 2012. The M57D30TU2 ran from 2006 to 2012. The M57D30TU ran from 2003 to 2010. The M57D25TU ran from 2000 to 2007.

They went into chassis E60, E61, E90, E92, E70, E83, E65, E46, E53 and E39. The exact year of a car matters, because BMW sometimes changed the engine version or its parts in the middle of a model's life.
