Which cars came with the 1HZ engine?

The 1HZ was fitted to the Toyota Land Cruiser 80 (1990 to 1997), Toyota Land Cruiser 70 (1990 to 2023) and Toyota Land Cruiser 105 (1998 to 2007).

Names alone can mislead. Markets and model years used different versions, so always read the code on your engine block or send us your VIN.

The 1HZ is also popular for engine swaps. If you plan to fit it to a car that did not come with it, you will need mounts, wiring and an engine computer that suit the swap.

Not sure? Send us your VIN and your gearbox code. We match the engine family, the year window and the parts on the engine before anything is reserved, and the check is free.
