What is the Toyota 1HZ engine?

The Toyota 1HZ is a 4.2 liter (4,164 cc) diesel engine with an inline 6, SOHC, 12 valve layout with no turbo (naturally aspirated). It makes 96 kW (129 HP) and 285 Nm of torque, and was built from about 1990 to 2023.

It was used in the Toyota Land Cruiser 80 (1990 to 1997), Toyota Land Cruiser 70 (1990 to 2023) and Toyota Land Cruiser 105 (1998 to 2007). What we list: Toyota 1HD-FTE and 1HZ diesel engines for Land Cruiser 80, 100 and 70.
