What is the Toyota 1JZ-GTE VVTi engine?

The Toyota 1JZ-GTE VVTi is a 2.5 liter (2,492 cc) petrol engine with an inline 6, DOHC, 24 valve layout with a single turbocharger. It makes 206 kW (280 HP) and 378 Nm of torque, and was built from about 1996 to 2005.
