Which cars came with the Td5 engine?

The Td5 was fitted to the Land Rover Defender 90 (1998 to 2006), Land Rover Defender 110 (1998 to 2006) and Land Rover Discovery 2 (1998 to 2004).

Names alone can mislead. Markets and model years used different versions, so always read the code on your engine block or send us your VIN.

The Td5 is also popular for engine swaps. If you plan to fit it to a car that did not come with it, you will need mounts, wiring and an engine computer that suit the swap.

Not sure? Send us your VIN and your gearbox code. We match the engine family, the year window and the parts on the engine before anything is reserved, and the check is free.
