Which cars came with the M96.03 engine?

The M96.03 was fitted to the Porsche 911 Carrera 996 (2002 to 2005) and Porsche Boxster S 986 (2000 to 2004).

Names alone can mislead. Markets and model years used different versions, so always read the code on your engine block or send us your VIN.

The M96.03 is also popular for engine swaps. If you plan to fit it to a car that did not come with it, you will need mounts, wiring and an engine computer that suit the swap.

Not sure? Send us your VIN and your gearbox code. We match the engine family, the year window and the parts on the engine before anything is reserved, and the check is free.
