Which cars came with the EJ255 engine?

The EJ255 was fitted to the Subaru WRX GH (2008 to 2014) and Subaru Forester XT SH (2008 to 2013).

Names alone can mislead. Markets and model years used different versions, so always read the code on your engine block or send us your VIN.

The EJ255 is also popular for engine swaps. If you plan to fit it to a car that did not come with it, you will need mounts, wiring and an engine computer that suit the swap.

Not sure? Send us your VIN and your gearbox code. We match the engine family, the year window and the parts on the engine before anything is reserved, and the check is free.
