What should I know about the Volkswagen EA189 engine?

VW EA189 2.0 TDI engines for Golf, Passat, A4 and Transporter. We list: CJAA (2.0 liter (1,968 cc), 103 kW (140 HP), 2009 to 2014).

With one version listed, the code is easy to match. The engine computer and the wiring must still suit your car.

Each engine in the yard is inspected in Hamburg. The code is matched to the listing, the parts on the engine are recorded, the openings are sealed and the real unit is photographed. You can ask for extra photos, a close-up of the code stamp or a short video before you order.

Not sure? Send us your VIN and your gearbox code. We match the engine family, the year window and the parts on the engine before anything is reserved, and the check is free.
