What is the Volkswagen BEW engine?

The Volkswagen BEW is a 1.9 liter (1,896 cc) diesel engine with an inline 4, SOHC, 8 valve layout with a turbocharger. It makes 74 kW (100 HP) and 240 Nm of torque, and was built from about 2003 to 2006.

It was used in the Volkswagen Golf 4 TDI (2003 to 2006) and Volkswagen Beetle TDI (2004 to 2006). What we list: VW ALH and BEW 1.9 TDI engines, still the most asked-for small diesel.
