What is the Volkswagen ALH engine?

The Volkswagen ALH is a 1.9 liter (1,896 cc) diesel engine with an inline 4, SOHC, 8 valve layout with a turbocharger. It makes 66 kW (90 HP) and 210 Nm of torque, and was built from about 1998 to 2003.

It was used in the Volkswagen Golf 4 TDI (1998 to 2003) and Volkswagen Jetta 4 TDI (1999 to 2004). What we list: VW ALH and BEW 1.9 TDI engines, still the most asked-for small diesel.
