What is the Toyota 1GD-FTV engine?

The Toyota 1GD-FTV is a 2.8 liter (2,755 cc) diesel engine with an inline 4, DOHC, 16 valve layout with a variable-geometry turbocharger. It makes 150 kW (204 HP) and 500 Nm of torque, and was built from about 2015 to 2024.
