What is the difference between the Toyota 2JZ engines?

Toyota 2JZ-GTE and 2JZ-GE engines, the most requested Supra and Aristo straight sixes. We list: 2JZ-GTE (3.0 liter (2,997 cc), 206 kW (280 HP), 1993 to 2002); 2JZ-GE (3.0 liter (2,997 cc), 169 kW (230 HP), 1991 to 2005).

The versions share a basic design but differ in power, induction, electronics and emission rules. The right one is the one your car was built with, or the one your swap kit is made for.

The photos on each listing show the actual engine, not a stock picture. The yard checks the code, records what is bolted on, and seals the openings before the engine is offered. Ask the desk for more pictures of any listing. We are happy to show the stamp, the ports and the ancillaries before you decide.

Not sure? Send us your VIN and your gearbox code. We match the engine family, the year window and the parts on the engine before anything is reserved, and the check is free.
