What is the difference between the Toyota 1KD engines?

Toyota 1KD-FTV 3.0 D-4D engines for Hilux, Prado and Hiace. We list: 1KD-FTV (3.0 liter (2,982 cc), 126 kW (172 HP), 2000 to 2008); 1KD-FTV (3.0 liter (2,982 cc), 150 kW (204 HP), 2008 to 2015).

The versions share a basic design but differ in power, induction, electronics and emission rules. The right one is the one your car was built with, or the one your swap kit is made for.

Each engine in the yard is inspected in Hamburg. The code is matched to the listing, the parts on the engine are recorded, the openings are sealed and the real unit is photographed. You can ask for extra photos, a close-up of the code stamp or a short video before you order.
