What is the difference between the Subaru FA20 engines?
Subaru FA20DIT and Toyota 4U-GSE engines for WRX and BRZ. We list: FA20DIT (2.0 liter (1,998 cc), 197 kW (268 HP), 2014 to 2021); FA20 (2.0 liter (1,998 cc), 152 kW (207 HP), 2012 to 2020).
The versions share a basic design but differ in power, induction, electronics and emission rules. The right one is the one your car was built with, or the one your swap kit is made for.
Each engine in the yard is inspected in Hamburg. The code is matched to the listing, the parts on the engine are recorded, the openings are sealed and the real unit is photographed. You can ask for extra photos, a close-up of the code stamp or a short video before you order.
Not sure? Send us your VIN and your gearbox code. We match the engine family, the year window and the parts on the engine before anything is reserved, and the check is free.
