What is the difference between the Ford COYOTE engines?

Ford Coyote 5.0 engines for Mustang GT and F-150. We list: Coyote Gen 2 (5.0 liter (4,951 cc), 324 kW (435 HP), 2015 to 2017); Coyote Gen 3 (5.0 liter (5,038 cc), 343 kW (460 HP), 2018 to 2023).

The versions share a basic design but differ in power, induction, electronics and emission rules. The right one is the one your car was built with, or the one your swap kit is made for.
