What is the difference between the BMW B58 engines?

BMW B58 3.0 turbo petrol engines for 340i, M340i, 540i and X5 40i. We list 2 versions: B58B30 (3.0 liter (2,998 cc), 250 kW (340 HP), 2015 to 2020); B58B30M1 (3.0 liter (2,998 cc), 275 kW (374 HP), 2019 to 2026).

The versions share the same basic design, but the power, the turbo or injection set-up, the electronics and the emission standard change. The right one for you is the one your car was built with.

The B58 family was used in chassis F30, G30, G11, G05, G01, G20, G22 and G42. The photos on each listing show the actual engine, not a stock picture. The yard checks the code, records what is bolted on, and seals the openings before the engine is offered.
