What is the BMW M41D17 engine?
The BMW M41D17 is a 1.7 liter (1,665 cc) diesel engine from the M41 family. It has an inline 4, SOHC, 8 valve layout with a single turbocharger, and makes 66 kW (90 HP) with 190 Nm of torque. BMW built it from 1994 to 2000 and it meets the Euro 2 emission standard.
